Good Afternoon, Good Evening, Good Night 2.0 (2021), which was represented by the 11th Seoul Mediacity Biennale, comprises an automated system that provides subscribers with information from all over the world that has been excluded from YouTube’s algorithm via the web platform destroy.codes. This latest artwork is a “bug report” that critically reviews and corrects errors of existing works, which imagined a world without control through images liberated from monopoly and ownership. In so doing, information related to anonymous footage collected in the recent past is reproduced using a generative algorithm, a “manifesto” calling for hard-working and independence is revised and unclassified photo data is reorganized into a moving image.
