As an artist, I work with new media and video in order to explore ideas about architectural space, motion, interactivity and phenomenological perception. My artwork utilizes computer animation and sound to craft immersive interactive projection installations. Three-dimensional computer graphics are the basis of my abstract animation; animation which takes full advantage of the computer’s ability to create motion and subjective points of view that are not available by any other means. Multiple video projectors are strategically placed within a space; and the projections of the animation are then fit into the architecture; the art can then be experienced physically in relationship to one’s movements through the space. Moving images and sound are used to transform architecture, while the art in turn is transformed by the architecture, thus creating the experience of a space in-between the real and imaginary.
