Julia Bryan-Wilson is associate professor of contemporary art at the University of California‚ Berkeley‚ where she teaches such classes as visual activism‚ feminist and queer theory‚ and histories of performance art. She is the author of Art Workers: Radical Practice in the Vietnam War Era (2009). Her book Fray: Art and Textile Politics is forthcoming in 2017 from the University of Chicago Press.
