Youngmin Ko

Youngmin Ko is an actor who traces the process through which an actor’s sensory experience is manifested as language on stage, and an educator engaged in exploring the intersection of technology and art. As a member of the creative collective LAS, he has steadily built a body of work through widely noted productions such as Function Domino and Before Vanishing, capturing moments in which narrative comes alive through the actor’s body and voice.

He is also dedicated to substantiating artistic intuition through scientific data. In particular, his research demonstrates the physiological mechanisms by which Fitzmaurice Voicework® training alleviates performers’ anxiety, using EEG (electroencephalography) and PPG (photoplethysmography) analysis. By objectifying the psychological effects of acting training, he continues to investigate ways to enhance performers’ capabilities. He currently serves as an assistant professor in the College of Arts and Culture Convergence Major, Performing Arts at the University of Suwon, where he integrates practical experience with advanced research to cultivate next-generation artists.
