LEE Jungwoo examines the conditions that enable a system to arrive at a particular outcome. Results that may appear as malfunctions are, in fact, inevitable products generated within given parameters, rendering the distinction between normal and abnormal obsolete. He further observes the trajectories of data to reveal what a system’s biases converge upon and what they omit. Spanning a range of media—from drones to generative AI—his work visualizes how the images and narratives produced are guided toward certain positions within the ambiguities of the contemporary moment.
