Conversation with Artists

This event was a place for participating artists of the 1st Seoul International Media Art Biennale media_city seoul 2000 city: between 0 and 1, to present their creative processes and engage in conversation with the audience. Composed of artist talks and screenings, the program featured Dara Birnbaum and Joan Jonas. In the first session, Dara Birnbaum introduced her works from the early years up to 2000 and gave a lecture on “Structures of the Video Images.” In the second session, Joan Jonas presented her works from 1968 to 2000 under the theme “Performance and Video,” followed by screenings of selected video pieces.
