KALEIDOSCOPE

This performance of their debut song “KALEIDOSCOPE” marks the global launch of C-U-T, a “Swedish K-pop” boy band formed by artist Ming Wong with six students at the Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm. In seeking to unpack the cultural ramifications of K-pop, the band also aims to diversify the genre by engaging with transnational and queer-friendly values that are often underrepresented in the industry. The performance was followed by an interview with Jiwon Lee, Curator of the 11th Seoul Mediacity Biennale, and Jiwon Yu, Assistant Curator.
