In the first lecture program of the SMB13, “Séance: Technology of Disalienation,” Elena Vogman introduces the media experiments practiced by the reform and resistance movement of institutional psychotherapy. Tracing the use of cinema as a collective therapeutic tool, Vogman will illuminate how such séances reframed psychosis as a process of repair.
